As part of a successful bid for funding from South Staffs District Council, the Parish Council is hoping to establish a local market in the near future.
The aim of the market is to attract more potential shoppers to the High Street, primarily to boost local trade following a very difficult 18 months.
We will be engaging with local traders to identify the best day/date for the first market (hopefully mid to late August), and to identify potential stallholders.
The aim is to focus the market on Daneford Gardens, and potentially Jubilee Gardens if there is sufficient interest.
For the avoidance of doubt, the market will not require any road closures, or loss of parking space. The only ‘entertainment’ on offer will be an enhanced High Street shopping experience.
If successful the event could become a regular feature.
